Primarily mimeographed documents issued by the conference, which include minutes of meetings, reports, and draft agreements. Miscellaneous memos, lists of members, information releases, committee records, and texts of addresses and statements are also included. Committees prominently represented are the Committee for Cultural Affairs; Committee for Political and Constitutional Affairs; Committee for Financial and Economic Affairs; Committee for Military Affairs; and the Committee for Social Affairs. Of note are an address by the Chairman of the United Nations Commission for Indonesia at the first plenary meeting of the Round Table Conference on August 23, 1949; and correspondence between the Secretary-General of the Conference and members of the Netherlands Minority Group concerning admittance and the hearing of minorities. In 1945, four individuals who had worked on the Manhattan project-John L. Balderston, Jr., Dieter M. Gruen, W.J. McLean, and David B. Wehmeyer-formed a committee and wrote a letter to 154 public figures asking for their opinions about the possibility of the creation of a world government.
